About

Kidus Amberbir

I'm a Toronto-based sports videographer and photographer, and the founder of Shotbykidus — I started shooting games in 2020 and never really stopped. I studied Digital Communications at Humber College, where I also spent two years as the sports videographer and social media manager for Humber Hawks Athletics.

Since then I've worked with Canada Soccer, League1 Ontario clubs, and CPL teams, traveling across Canada and the U.S. to capture highlight reels, interviews, and documentary-style stories for digital and social channels. My documentary "Drive 4 Five" — a 20-minute film following Humber College's 2023 men's soccer run to the national finals — was a finalist at the Current Cut Film Festival and an official selection at the Canadian Sport Film Festival.

I shoot on a Sony FX30 and I'm a licensed drone pilot, editing everything myself in Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve — from color grading to final delivery.
